Request for Updated LOA

I have received the request for updated LOA.
What does the updated request for LOA means from CIC ? is it a good sign?
does it mean the visa will be approved or it is in final stages of processing?
My application has passed normal processing time, so it really means a lot to get a good understanding of where the application stage might be.

I hope someone can answer that question.

Sure it's a good sign. However, they are unpredictable and my application has also passed its processing time. I have got medical and passport request on 13th August and my medical status has changed to passed too but didn't hear anything from cic yet.

Hello

I applied for Sept 2018 intake but I have received the request from CIC on 08 October requesting for updated LOA dated January but unfortunately my program is in Sept only not available for Jan intake . Please advise.

Can I reply saying is only for sept and if get approved I will attend the current semester and they could agree, or can I submit another LOA for another program in January even from different college?


I hope someone can help me and advice on possible options and better answers.
