WES done last year- Ref no. confusion

Go with the IMM one. Doesn't really matter because only the numerical part is the reference number. The alphabetical part is common to all WES reports.lovesumi said:

I also got my ECA in 2014, when I applied for CEC. My application was returned, as caps had been met. When I sent in my EE PR FSW application in May, I used that report, which did not have IMM at the end as it was not prepared specifically for EE, and got a Request Letter from CIC in June saying that CIC could not access my results electronically to confirm them. I had to pay $140 and wait two nail-biting weeks for ICAS (the original wasn't from WES) to upgrade my report to IMM and hand over the results to CIC.
Although CIC says that ECAs are valid for 5 years, ones not prepared specifically for EE may or may not be electronically confirmable by CIC. So if you actually have in your hand one that ends in IMM, I know that was what I needed for the smoothest processing. If not, write what you actually have and CIC will let you know if you have to provide more.
I would contact WES to be sure that with your current report CIC can access and confirm your score electronically. As I said, I was working with ICAS, so the situation could be different. If it is unclear from the WES website whether you have the right kind of report, contact them by phone or email. I suspect that you are fine. And we were also - CIC seemed to understand the situation in the letter they wrote to us, and simply advised us to contact ICAS to do what had to be done to make our report available to them. They didn't even impose a deadline on us for doing it. So don't panic. Just 1) find out from WES if you need to change the type of report, and 2) do it, or, if there is no time, send the report you have.lovesumi said:

If your school did not send transcripts directly the first time, I am fairly sure you will have to have them do it now. There are apparently stricter rules for transcripts since EE came into being. The WES website should explain it all now, or you can call and clarify with them.

Please be advised that you will need to order an additional report. Please note that a WES ECA report is valid for five years from the date of completion for CIC purposes. You may use your ECA to apply for any immigration purposes that require an ECA.
