PGDBA Symbiosis School of Distance Learning WES Evaluation

Hi All,

I have completed PGDBA (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Admistration) from Symbiosis School of Distance Learning. Is is accepted by WES for evaluation and Canadian professional education. Do they consider distance learning degree programs?? Has anyone got it evaluated??

Yes, distance learning programs are very well considered. But try to use the online tool available in WES site to see the equivalent once.

Well yes the WES consider distance learning courses BUT I am afraid as read on different forums, they consider SCDL as Unrecognised University.

Hello there,

Will say try to talk with other organizations first and see if they consider SCDL recognized -

Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies - http://www.learn.utoronto.ca/ces
International Credential Assessment Service of Canada - http://www.icascanada.ca/fsw

If they do, then it is worth opting for them while if they not, then it would be better to go with WES as other takes more time as compared to WES.

WES takes average 45 minutes to have words with you over the email and average seven working days to reply you back by email.

ICAS is fast in reply, they took one working day to reply back while UOT took two weeks time to reply back (via emails).

I am not advocating that WES is better.. All I said was that one could clarify the doubts directly from WES/ICAS rather than second guessing the things..

on the contrary I received a reply from WES the very next day..

So in that case it is unfit to be sent..I will not send it if the university is unrecognized.

Yes, I would say its of no use. If it would have been Symbiosis University then "Yes" as its listed and recognized.

I have also done PGDIT (2012-14 batch). Some are saying ICAS will recognize it?

I'm not sure about ICAS but WES says its not recognized.
