Can a citizenship officer refuse an application if I have had an conditional discharge and completed 1 year of probation successfully?
I had probation for conditional discharge on feb2014 to February 2015. I have attached an document saying I completed my probation successfully formal letter from my probation officer. And since I finished my conditional discharge does that mean there is and has been no conviction?

Hello Michael,
I have a same situation like yours. Completed my probation successfully. It was domestic assault issue... did that affect you?

You're not convicted, but it's on your record for three years. After that period, it's expunged and you can apply. Obviously check your police record, and if it's still on there at the time, get yourself a good lawyer.

What was the nature of the crime? DUI? Because that one is exceptionally problematic.

I was charged with domestic assault and given conditional discharge with one year probation which i completed successful on 16 April 2017. I was told that criminal record will be finished after three years of completed probation time.

Now at the time of citizenship application, what documents i have to supply to support my application. in

is my previous condition discharge background going to affect my application in anyway.

was arrested and charged for assualt while self defending but charges dropped with 1 probation to keep the peace, which means no criminal record, matter of fact photos and fingerprints have been destroyed (if u keep the peace for 3yrs). You should be OK because no criminal record. Enjoy your summer and stay away from probelems even if you become citizen because when CONs are back they will take away many rights for sure.

Hey did you get the citizenship yet? When did you apply? After completing 1 year probation or after completing 3 years conditional discharge? Please respond.
