Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi All,

Looking at the ITAs in 9th draw and the initial rounds, it is definitely clear that there are many applicants who are having jobs with LMIA i.e. few thousands.
So, is there anybody here on forum who is not residing currently in Canada but managed to get a job which is LMIA compliant?
Basically I am trying to understand is it possible to get job (from outside canada) which is LMIA compliant nad if yes, then how to?
I have many openings in careerbuilkder, indeed, monster etc, however are all those LMIA compliant? i.e. even if we manage to get a call via these portals, does that help in EE?

If anybody can share on above it will be helpful. Thanks.

To get a LMIA, your employer needs to demonstrate that they are paying a market-appropriate wage, and that no qualified Canadians applied. They need to apply, and keep the listing open the whole time, hiring any qualified Canadians who apply before they get it.

If your job offer can meet those requirements, the employer may be able to get a LMIA. If they can't, they won't.

Hey Katie,

Quick question, my company has applied for an LMIA for me, the application was sent mid to late April. Should the job advertisement remain active on all the websites until the application is approved/declined?

Thanks,

Note:

Employers must continue to advertise the available position and actively seek qualified Canadians and permanent residents until the date they receive notification that a Labour Market Impact Assessment has been issued.

Job Offer........

Thanks Kate for responding.
So that is the process part which I understood now.

So in practical has anybody recently found such jobs sitting outside Canada? i.e. people with CRS >600 are only those who are in Canada for some time and they got LMIA jobs after sometime staying there OR there are people who are from outside Canada and got such jobs.
Basically, I am trying to get the practical picture of achieving LMIA jobs and hence the chance to get ITA for EE.

As I mentioned we see many postings on various sites from Canadian employers. Now, is there a way to check if those are LMIA?

Thanks

Dear Applicants,

Please note that I am looking for any view that is it possible to get LMIA sitting outside canada?

I got one lawyer who is offering LMIA but charging a lot in total around 16000 CAD for arranging the employment. The way cic is moving i do not know weather to avail it or wait and see weather cic accepts without job offer or not.

If any one of you have any clue to get help please let me know.

That lawyer is basically from srilanka and promises for his work, though he have office both in srilanka and canada. We can only b optimistic if we can assure a LMIA.

Please help me in this regard.

It's probably a scam. You'll most likely end up with no money and no LMIA. It's illegal to charge fees for arranged employment.

Anyone who "guarantees" anything when it comes to immigration is by definition lying. I would stay far away. Love the non-refundable initial payment of $500. That's an easy way for them to make money without actually delivering anything. Anyway - it's your life and your money.

The only way for an offer like that to be possible (particularly given their timeline) would be if they had an employer in a remote area already lined up with some LMIAs.

LMIAs in 2 weeks would ridiculously fast - you'd either have a job for a couple days (which can be fast-tracked, but won't get you anything useful), or they would need it already without a name on it.

If they had such a job lined up, all the employer would have to do would advertise "we have a LMIA", and they could get workers extremely fast.

Something's not right.

I can give you the lawyer answer, or the practical answer.

From a legal and technical standpoint, yes, it is possible to get a LMIA from outside of Canada.

From a practical standpoint, it's highly unlikely.

If (for example), you are a PhD in the biological sciences with very unique skills, then there are companies like StemCell willing to deal with the LMIA, and able to prove that there is not a single Canadian who is qualified (because they hired each and every one who was). For anyone else, it's near-impossible at this point, as the job match service (which is supposed to help with that) is not functional yet.

Dear Applicants,

I understand that the lawyer offered me is a scam, and its a huge investment like 16000 cad is not a joke.

However we can only hope nothing else, coz I tried to contact with many recruiting agencies in canada most of them do not sponsor, and saying as soon as you are available here you visit our office or we can help than.

Really do not know when cic will actually accept applications without job offer. If you think about previous process of 67/100, they accepted without job offer, r they able to offer job for everyone?
