Hi

I am struggling to find out the type of visa application that need to be submitted for the spouse of a person that has a BC PNP approved and has a valid work permit. I have a friend who is presently working in canada on a work permit in category C and has an approved PNP application and still need to apply for the PR process. He wants to bring his spouse from India but we a struggling to find the type of visa that needs to be applied and what forms we need. we have checked the CIC website and it says in FAQ that spouse can come as a dependent but dont see any forms related to it anywhere.

thanks for your help

iam in the same situation and applied open work permit for my wife in india. Iam also bc pnp holder and I heard if u have pnp nomination it doesn't matter what kind of job u have. I applied through lawyer from canada. Waiting for the result.

Even i want to apply for my wife, i am having BC PNP on Categary NOC C, but i have a question could i apply for my wife as a dependent visa open work permit.

My two friends were applied for Dependent visa (OPen work permit) and both wives got the visa, they both have NOC B job in BC and in one of them have a BC PNP approve.

Hi Zainsami and Sunny

Yes you can apply for an open work permit if you are in category 0,A and B but I dont see anywhere it says that the category dosn't matter if you have a PNP approval. Below is the link for from CIC website. So sunny, did you apply for the Open Work Permit and I believe also the TR Visa at the same time ?

Good evening all i just applied for alberta PNP and waiting for nominee but while i m waiting i wanna gather all the doc for my hubby to come here what doc do i need to apply and can i apply for my hubby when i get an Alberta PNP approval ? And does my occupation matters i am a hotel front desk ? And when i apply for the visa for him do i need any bank balance? Plz help me with these questions? I would be greatful thank you in advance!

For those who did not apply or were not approved by provinces yet. I would say that you shall add your spouse as dependant into your application even if they currently do not reside in Canada. Because anyway you are suppose to put yourself as married (regardless if spouse will accompany you or not). It is much better situation, especially before your paperwork is done. That means federal part. If you wait after you get your PR you will have to go the way of sponsoring your spouse wich is much longer and more tedious.

So once getting with federal your spose will also the PR with you.
Hope this helps.
