Transcripts from Mumbai University for CPA

Hi

I need some advice on obtaining my transcripts. Your expert advice on the same is welcome.

I studied in a college in Mumbai as a regular student and my Bcom certificate was issued by Mumbai University. I did MCom (correspondence) from Mumbai University as well. Now I plan on doing CPA (USA) but they require me to submit my transcripts. Will be grateful if anyone can guide me on the procedure.

Do I have to get my marksheets of FYBCOM and SYBCOM from the college attested or just TYBCOM and MCom from the University and ask for them in a sealed envelope?

Do i have to go in person to apply and collect it or anyone can do it on my behalf?

Please guide ASAP as I want to get the process started.

Hi Japri,

My sister got her BA and MA degree transcripts from Mumbai University. You just need to take 2 sets of photo copies of following documents to Mumbai University (In Kalina, M.J.Phule Bhavan Building i think)

1. Last year marksheet and degree certificate of BCom
2. Both year marksheets and degree certificate of MCom

Pay the fee as per their guidelines. They take about 2 weeks to verify the documents.
After two weeks they will give you the sealed envelope. You simply need to courier the documents to WES and mention the WES reference number on the envelope ( you will get this reference number after you make the WES payment online)

Good luck. Its an easy enough process. Mumbai University folks are accustomed to these kind of requests. So you wont have much explaining to do.

Any clue if any one can collect it on my behalf after I have applied or I need to be there personally? Since I reside in the Middle East, I will have to travel back to collect it incase no one else is permitted

I dont think they check who collects it. You just have to carry the receipt they give you while submitting photocopies. Whoever shows the receipt gets the sealed envelope.

Yamini, As far as i know, you need university attested transcripts. The procedure is mentioned in the above posts.

I am a B.Com graduate and applying for Canadian PR. Currently I am in the process of Education Assessment (EA) and would like to know if I have to get my marksheets of FYBCOM and SYBCOM from the college attested or just TYBCOM Marksheet and Certificate from the University in a sealed envelope? I am doing it through a consultancy and they've asked me to submit FYBCOM and SYBCOM Marksheets attested by the college.

I am a little unclear with the transcripts as explained by newGirl_sk. It'll be very helpful if someone can provide clear instructions.

Hey how did you managed Transcript for CPA from Mumbai University? I am in same boat now
