Adding Common Law partner after PNP acceptance before CIC

Hello,

I have been accepted on to BC PNP.

When I sent off the application, my boyfriend and I had been living together 9 months. Next week we will officially become common law and so I need to add him on to my PNP in order to declare our relationship to CIC (he is not canadian either). This will also mean he can apply for residency with me.

Has anyone else been in this situation and have any advice on how this works?
Thanks!

I recommend you send BC PNP an email informing them of your change of status including your certificate number, also send them a letter with the same information. You might have to do the same with CIC if you have already applied for your permanent residency. But before all that if you can call or email BC PNP do so and see what they advise you.
Good luck
