Permanent Residence pathway for Colombian, Haitian and Venezuelan nationals

Hi! I am the anchor for my brother through the Permanent Residence pathway for Colombian, Haitian and Venezuelan nationals. He has completed his medical examinations, even had several online meetings with a settlement advisor in Vancouver as per the information provided by IRCC. However, the finalization for his application is delayed. He submitted his application on 11/30/2023, Last correspondence received from IRCC was on 03/13/2024, but from then on.... nothing. He is Venezuelan, currently in Mexico and he's been advised that his security background is being performed by a third party and IRCC has no control over their times. Has someone else experienced this? It is very frustrating as we dont have access to additional information.

In general processing times are very slow because there have been cuts to H&C yearly quotas and the quotas are very small so may have very little to do with processing times of the 3rd party.

I think you need to send an online form asking about the process where it is stuck. My 2 siblings have performed their landing August and September last year. It seems weird they are so delayed with this program that closed over a year ago. If you have the application number you can also request atip to check where the process is stuck

Would order GCMS notes. Possible that is in a queue because yearly quota is so small.
