I submitted my application for the Federal Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) through the online portal and received my application number. Later, I received an email requesting me to provide my biometric information. I completed my biometric submission at the application center three weeks ago, but I have not received any updates since then.

Currently, my application status is still marked as "Submitted," and I would like to understand why there has been no update. Could you kindly provide me with any information regarding the status of my application and whether my biometrics have been successfully linked to my file?

I would appreciate any guidance or clarification on this matter.

It depends visa office, maybe their backlog, can you share your time and if its job offer no job offer?

Hello, thanks for replying, no job offer , because I already have my own job online so I can work from any country

That actually may be a negative. The purpose of EMPP is to address labour needs of Canadian businesses while the refugee benefits by getting a safe permanent home. If you plan to keep working for your current employer after relocating to Canada you should really be applying under a more general refugee program or other economic PR programs open to anyone.

Ok, so I can apply for more than 1 program at the same time?

You can apply for more than one but once you get processing under 1 program you are asked withdraw the other application.

Did you not read the description of the EMPP program:
Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot
The Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) is a program for skilled refugees and displaced people looking to work permanently in Canada. The EMPP:
  • helps skilled refugees and other displaced people immigrate to Canada through economic programs
  • gives employers access to a new pool of qualified candidates to fill job openings

Any one applied for EMPP job offer in Feb. I have applied on February 02, and got biometrics the next day. But nothing since then. Can someone share their timeline if you are on the same boat?

Your application status remaining as "Submitted" after biometric submission is not uncommon. It can take several weeks for the system to update and for your biometrics to be officially linked to your file. If it’s been more than 30 days with no change, you can contact IRCC through their web form or the phone number provided in your application acknowledgment to request a status update and confirm that your biometrics have been received and linked correctly.

Pre-arrival letter needs to be remained it causes so much confusion. Pre-arrival letter is procedural but does not actually indicate that you are near the end of the process. Are you sure your application has reached final decision? Would suggest ordering GCMS notes. Due to small quotas it can also take a long time to get a passport request even if your application has been approved.

If you haven’t reached final decision yet then you are in a queue for final review and hard to tell how long that may take. Once final approval is reached then you get in line for passport request. Due to smaller quotas it is tough to predict how long that will take especially since EMPP is a relatively uncommon application and likely also dependent on the office processing the request.

In the final decision does means that you are nearing the end of the process but getting the final decision may still take some time. If approved then you enter another queue for landing. There is no exact timeline for this process unfortunately.
