Proof of Financial Resource of Supporter and proof of means of financial support

I’m applying for a visitor visa for my parents. They already had a 10-year visa, but their passport expired, so they had to apply again. One of the questions asks if they’re financially dependent on me, and I selected yes. Because of this, it asked for both proof of financial resources from me and proof of means of financial support.

I support them financially, but they do have enough money to show in their fixed deposits. Based on this information, should I select yes to the “financially dependent” question? I’m okay with writing that I can take care of their expenses, and I’ve already shown my and my wife’s bank account statements along with other financial documents. I appreciate any help you can provide!

Even though my in-laws have much money in their bank accounts, both have different degrees of dementia, so I'm taking care of their expenses. So my answer to your question is both yes and no.

If you do support them financially (regular transfers, day-to-day expenses, or are covering the trip), selecting “Yes” is accurate.
Even if they have fixed deposits, the fact that you’re their primary financial support qualifies as financial dependency. Their FD can still be shown as additional financial strength in the application, not a contradiction.
