Can't link PR Renewal application

Hello All,

It's kind of weird as each time I search for my PR Renewal application I only get the initial PR application only.

I submitted my renewal application online on 23/8/2023 (showing as as "Incomplete Application" under return reason in Permanent Residence Portal).

How can I link the renewal application as well?

How can I link the renewal application as well?

You would only be able to link when your application is picked up for processing. The only way is to keep trying as you wouldnt know when you application processing has started.

We submitted my husband's online renewal application on 14/Aug/2023.
The status shows as Submitted. Through GC key, I was able to only link the original PR application, not the renewal application.
We called IRCC a week ago and the agent said the application is under review and everything looks good. The agent also said the processing time is 92 days so he should receive it by Nov 15, 2023.

It's just weird that we cannot link the renewal application.

Keep trying. When the renewal application is taken up for processing you will be able to link. Best luck !

I need to understand what is meant by address history when submitting the pr renewal application. How long do I have to live at an address for it to be added under address history? Do vacation days count?

Thank you so much for your reply. What should I keep as a cut off period? If it's more than a month, should I add it to address history? Also, if it is not too much trouble, could you guide me regarding the following: 1 - I landed in 2020 and went back to my home county for work after 3 months and stayed there. While I was there I travelled extensively for tourism but each trip was always less than a month. I would also travel to Canada for a period between 20 days - 2 months depending on the year. With this is mind, is the following format okay?

Landed in Canada 06-2020 - add Canadian address
Returned to home country 09-2020 - add home country address
travelled to multiple countries between 09-2020 and 06-2021 - since my stays were less than a month, should I just add home country address for this entire duration?
visited Canada from 06-2021-09-2021 - add Canadian address
repeat cycle till Dec 2023 when I permanently moved to Canada.
Add permanent address that I've had from Dec 2023- date.

so basically Im only adding the addresses of my home country (covering the travel/vacation period) and the Canadian address every time I visited Canada. Apologies for any confusion.
