Hi everyone,

I’m trying to get a better understanding of the timeline for the citizenship oath ceremony at the Kitchener IRCC office. Specifically, once my case is approved, how long does it usually take for the scheduling of the oath ceremony?

From what I’ve gathered, some applicants have received their invitation within about a month, while others experienced longer wait times. I’m curious if anyone here has recently gone through the process and can share their experience regarding the waiting period. Has anyone encountered delays due to rescheduling or increased office workload? Any insights or tips on what to expect would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

In Kitchener, most get the oath invite 2–6 weeks after approval. Some wait longer (8+ weeks) if IRCC is backed up. Check your email/portal daily—they sometimes give short notice. Delays happen if rescheduled.
