I am a Mexican citizen who applies for permanent residence and a police certificate was requested, so I sent my fingerprints, copy of my passport, photos, letter that I got from my email and with the info about my file.

I sent the documentation thought fedex, according to the tracking info they got it on 23/12/2024 and i got a information letter on 31/12/2024 in my IRCC account.
Where it says that i have to request the police certificate to the FGR, but it suppose if i do that is not gonna be accepted, so i dont know what i have to doI am a Mexican citizen who applies for permanent residence and a police certificate was requested, so I sent my fingerprints, copy of my passport, photos, letter that I got from my email and with the info about my file.

Hi ernesto64 I'm in the same situation, I sent my documents around the same date and I've the information letter on my account, do you have any update or idea about what to do with it?

For what I checked, we have to wait until we get news from IRCC

Where did you sent your documents?
I recently went through the same process and following the guideliens online, is pretty straightforward, unless they have changed.
So basically if you are inside Canada, you have to send your your documentation (fingerprints, photos and passport copy) to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City. Once recieved, they will handle everything for you. They will make the request to the PGR and once done, they will upload it directly into their system for the IRCC agent to see it. You won't see it ever.

You are correct but it is taking much time, there is no fixed timeline for this process after we sent documents.

I hope this helps.

10th Oct - Sent all documents for PCC
Got update in tracker that document received on 10th Nov
after that received confirmation (P1) on 3rd Feb 2025
Congratulations! You're almost there.
Still, it's a shame how the process gets considerably longer for those who need a Police Certificate from Mexico. I've seen that just getting the Certificate takes between 2-3 months and once received, they take an additional 2-3 months to review it. We're talking about 4-6 additional months others don't have to experience.

IRCC send me a message on 26 Feb 2025 that they already got my Police Certificate from Mexico. I think i just need to wait a little bit for the final decisicion and P1.

VFS received my documents (10 February 2025) for further procedure of obtaining certificate from Mexican police (updated rules from 13 January 2025). Since then I have not received any information about it. Who can tell me where I can apply for information about my certificate and who knows what is the validity period?

Where can I see this information about my certificate?

I’m in a similar situation. Ever since they updated the rules and changed to VFS, they take forever to answer.
I sent my documents to VFS and got AOR on February 11, then I sent emails daily until last week they confirmed that they got my application and I finally got my tracking number.
My tracker shows that IRCC Mexico has my documents, waiting to be sent to the Fiscalía.
I’m down to less than 20 days from the day I got the police certificate letter, I’ll wait a few more days hoping for them to send it to the fiscalía, if they don’t, I’ll send a web form requesting a time extension.
