Don’t worry- you are not alone, we all are in this together. It may not really help but I also applied for Work permit extension in January 2025. My Work permit expired in the same month. I too am waiting for WP extension and update on PR file. It’s just a matter of a few more days now till you hear for your PR. I wish you all the best. Please Don't stress out.

Hi there,
I have received the AOR last Feb-10-2025.
BIO and Police clearance for Colombia done Feb-21-2025.
I realized that my previous medical examination are valid, I contact my representative that is help me with the application, to check if we need to ask for a copy of those medical examination and submit via Webform, but they told that those medical records are linked to my UCI and we don't need to do anything. But I have noticed that some people mentioned that they sent again via Webform.
My question is if it is better to submit the medical before or just wait for the next step? Also my representative mention that they can ask for new medical test, but that does not make sense to me.
Thanks

I did not submit my previous medical records and they were automatically added to the system. You can submit them through webform, it wouldn't harm.

If you have medical sheet, go ahead and submit it through webform. Don't listen to your representative. That expired medical is still valid so better to send them.

How long does IRCC take to give a final decision after comprehensive security is completed from CBSA? My security started in April 2024 and then progressed by CBSA since June 2024. On Friday, the IRCC agent told me on a call that CBSA had done security. My Eligibility, Medical, Biometrics, Information sharing, and criminality have already been passed. If anyone can share his experience.
Thanks
Once the security check is completed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and passed to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the timeline for a final decision can vary. However, here’s what typically happens:

1. Final Review: IRCC conducts a final review of your file to ensure all aspects, including eligibility, medicals, criminality, and security, are met.

2. Officer’s Decision: If everything is in order, an immigration officer will make a final decision on your application.

3. Passport Request (PPR): If approved, you will receive a request for your passport or a confirmation of permanent residence (COPR).

4. Possible Delays: The timeline can be influenced by factors like the complexity of your case, internal processing times, and the workload of the responsible visa office.

Many applicants report receiving a decision within 2 to 8 weeks after security clearance. However, some cases can take longer, especially if additional background checks or documentation are required.

Since your security was completed by CBSA and IRCC acknowledged it, you might be nearing the final stages. You can follow up through webform inquiries or call IRCC for updates.
