Hi,

My wife was hired by her sister to take care of her two kids (this was in the Philippines). Her sister would leave her kids in our house while she worked, and she would pay my wife in cash. Can this count as work experience for the Home Care Worker Immigration program for Canada?

The full details haven't been posted yet so we can't say for sure.

However if she can prove this work experience through regular bank deposits or tax filings or something like that, then it should be doable.

The payment my wife received from her sister was through cash (on a weekly basis) and it was below the minimum wage, so she was exempted from filing income tax on that amount. Can my sister-in-law write us a letter that will serve as a certification that she employed my wife as a Home Child Care Provider?

Wait for others to respond. I don't know if this is enough to prove work experience.

you’ll need to wait and look at the application but in general they will have to show they have the disposable income to pay you and that they need a FT caregiver. For example they have always had a full-time caregiver and you will be replacing the current one.

Yes , i am working as PSW at home care with one client through the company.
So you need 6 month experience and a job offer with the care home or the client. Cannot have job offer through the agency/company.
