Matter of personal taste. Nice thing with e-certificate is not worrying about losing the original.

Paper one looks nice.

Curiosly I had selected digital at the time of application, but during the in person ceremony they didn't ask anyone for an option and just offered everyone the physical version

Yes, that apparently is standard, if you get selected for the in-person, they only provide the physical certificate.
