Long time of application

Can anyone help me out of what could be a problem as I applied a Canada visa under spousal sponsorship on may 2023 and then I did biometrics on December 2023 then I did medical on January 2024 and it was complete by February and then my background check started and it was complete on may 2024 and eligibility started on may where i received a request for additional information and I provided within may 2024 but since then there is no any update
So I would like to ask if anyone knows what the problem could be or if there is anyone going through the same

What was the reason for the request for additional info?

Apply for gcms notes, inquire of your MP.

Actually they asked for new police certificate since the one i provided earlier expired,details of how I met with my husband etc,his job letter, financial status that's all

Order gcms note maybe that might help.is this an inland application?

Job letter is a testimonial of what position he worked ?

Yeah we provided everything about job letter I meant employment letter which justify that he is employed and where he is employed

Can't say for sure. Just have to monitor the incoming emails for the next steps.

Depends a bit on location but generally 2-4 weeks. Can be a bit longer. As their advice says, don't make unchnageable travel plans until you get it back and have checked that there are no errors.
