Hello! My CRS score in the ircc calculator and my EE Profile doesn't match.

EE = 497
Calculator = 465

I got the maximum points for Skill transferability

Skill transferability
CriteriaScore
CRS - Skill Transferability - Education50
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience50

I was actually expecting for my points on the education part as 38 since I only finished 1 year in post-grad. I was wondering why I got the maximum points!
I belong to NOC 11202. My 1st job however is a skilled job NOC 62100. Is this the reason why I got the maximum points?

All my input are accurate, I'm afraid I am having points that I don't actually have.

Thank you!

A difference of 32.

I got the maximum points for Skill transferability

I was actually expecting for my points on the education part as 38 since I only finished 1 year in post-grad.
That's a difference of 12. Is the remaining 20 points difference down to the work experience section or are there other disrepancies?

I belong to NOC 11202. My 1st job however is a skilled job NOC 62100. Is this the reason why I got the maximum points?
That only applies to education if the job counts for Canadian work experience. Or are you now asking about the work experience points?

I was wondering why I got the maximum points!

All my input are accurate, I'm afraid I am having points that I don't actually have.

Thank you!
It'd help if you could share the inputs for https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/check-score.html so we can double check. You don't really provide enough information to help us help you figure this out.

That said, I'd speculate that somehow the input to the profile was wrong - that somehow your foreign work experience got inputed as Canadian instead. This would explain the bump in both sections (since Canadian work experience helps both education and work experience as per my tests using the calculator) - but if that's actually foreign work experience that's been misclassified, then it would indeed be a case of points that you don't actually have.

Why were you expecting 38 points for education when the calculator gave you 26?

Since the calculator matches the profile on work experience (50 for both) the 24 points difference in education still isn't the whole thing. I wonder what's causing the difference with the remaining 8 points..

Oh, that's suspicious. You shouldn't get any canadian credit for that one yet since it hasn't been a full year there yet (and it seems the calculator does this correctly). I wonder if the profile calculation is somehow giving you one full year of Canadian work experience early though - if that's the case then it's incorrect for now but it'll fix itself in a month or so.

Well anyway, if it passes the month already. I'll eventually receive the points haha
So dk what's wrong.

Ah, I can reproduce the point difference using the calculator if I bump up the language score (CLB to get the 13s you were getting but with a higher CLB level you can get it to 25), and that also increases your first official language score by a little bit (explaining the 8 point difference). Maybe your language test results were better than you thought?

Tbh, my celpip test is an Ave 8.

Speaking 9
Writing, Listening and Reading is 8.

If nothing is wrong, my points should be alright, right?

I think so. It seems like this experience is pretty common,

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/crs-calculator-and-express-entry-profile-showing-different-scores.397805/

A caution though - even though you'll get the points eventually, try not accept any ITAs until you actually earn those points. If the system mistakenly invites you because it thinks you have one full year of Canadian work experience and you are short by 72 days for example, then that might become an issue later. See https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/does-cic-count-current-canadian-work-experience-wrong.454853/

So basically don't accept an ITA until at least April.
