Time until AIP has no influence on processing time of stage 2.For those of you who are waiting for Stage 2, have you already met the 22 months of processing time since the application submission? Or you got AIP within few months and stage 2 is taking longer since your application is still within normal processing times?
Lets say if you received AIP within 6 or 8 months I wonder if stage 2 will take another 12+ months to finalize since HC takes 22 months these day…
or if you receive AIP after 22 months what happens with stage 2? Is it faster in this case?
How does this stage 1 and 2 processing time works? Any experienced members here?

21.5 month since you send the application or 21.5 months since they start processing the applicationI was waiting for 21.5 month before AIP, and almost 4 months right now after that
From submission21.5 month since you send the application or 21.5 months since they start processing the application
My application is 21 months since I send and 11 months since they start processing I think they are counting from the start processing and not like they state to start the time wend we send a complete application so my understanding is 12 to 14 months so see if they approve 1 stage if they approve 1 stage 2 stage I'll be another 8 to 10 months or more nothing less in total it's 22 to 23 months since they start processing and 33 or 35 months since you send the application I don't know if this explanation make since to you

I understand that and I was expecting 20 to 22 months but how you explain I'm on 21 months and most of the people since submission and I don't know nothing about my file immigration can say whatever they want on the web site but for me the applications time line only start the day of the processing date and not the receiving date most people are on at least 20 months and no AIP or they already have AIP but they are on 28 to 30 months waiting for PRThe past 6 months ircc took to complete
Humanitarian and compassionate cases 22 months.
Make since 21.5 months for AIP was around 11 to 12 months from processing date the file was there sitting for 10 months and waiting for officer and now you are 4 months since AIP you should wait at least another 5 to 6 months for final decision to make 22 months since processing date and 30 to 32 months all togetherFrom submission
Anecdotally it is pretty clear processing is taking longer than 22 months at the moment. Posted processing times were never guaranteed. The past 6 months ircc took to complete

Certain programs like H&C have unique requirements that affect their timelines.Anecdotally it is pretty clear processing is taking longer than 22 months at the moment. Posted processing times were never guaranteed.
A very small number of cases are processed on an expedited basis. Certainly applications can take longer than average but even pretty straightforward cases are taking over 22 months at the moment. The is a very small quota for 2025-27 given the volume of applications.Certain programs like H&C have unique requirements that affect their timelines.
I think since there is new Canada's 2025–2027 Immigration Levels Plan they are going to base the H&C applications approval on this new plan.A very small number of cases are processed on an expedited basis.
