Waiting for 7 months must be painful!Yes! AOR 4th of Aug, from UAE, inland BC-PNP, express entry. It's been 7 months today, absolutely no update.
Indeed! As weeks and months pass away without any update, there's only so much patience and hope one can muster. It does make you numb over time. But it's the increasing anxiety and constant pain along with the practical implications of being in limbo and not able to travel or move on with life is what gets you. Sigh... May God help me.Waiting for 7 months must be painful!
I mentioned this in another post but the fact that they lack useful communication channels, a clear timeframe, and transparency makes this journey miserable. When we request clarity and updates on our applications, they either remain silent or provide unclear and vague answers. The other day I saw a person (Non-EE) wait two whole years to get their CoPR.Indeed! As weeks and months pass away without any update, there's only so much patience and hope one can muster. I was in review required around nov 5 and before my portal 1 on december 12, i got 2-3 ghost updates the week before the dec 12 week. It could be system update as well or could actually be something…I got update in tracker with just date change on top without any activity in tracker. My eligibility was started on January 29 and it is in review required since then. Do this update mean anything

I was stuck at the Eligibility and Background stages for a while, but once I called them, both changed to "In Progress" the next day. There is a chance that your application has progressed but the tracker has not updated. So try calling them again; it may work.EE PNP (inland)
Applied (AOR) - 17 Aug 2024
Medical passed - 10 Oct 2024
Bio passed - 17 Oct 2024
Eligibilty passed - 30 Jan 2025
Criminality - passed
Info sharing - in progress
Security - not started
We called IRCC on January 28, and today, and nothing has changed. Info sharing is still in progress, and security has not started yet.
Does anyone know why info sharing might be taking so long? And do they only start the security check after info sharing, criminality, and eligibility have been passed?

Eligibility pass is a very good sign but Background check can take time. However, waiting 7 months just to a decision on the application is mad. Did you try reaching out to your local MP? Maybe they'll help. After the call in January, eligibility changed from recommended pass to passed.
After the call today everything else stayed the same. I don’t understand why info sharing is still in progress for over a month, and security hasn’t even started. I thought that once eligibility becomes passed, they begin the security check.
It’s almost 7 months since the application was submitted, and the security check hasn’t even started yet![]()
As a first step, I want to request Notes. Maybe they will show something useful…Eligibility pass is a very good sign but Background check can take time. However, waiting 7 months just to a decision on the application is mad. Did you try reaching out to your local MP? Maybe they'll help.
