Approved working visa but employer/consultant wont cooperate

Hi. Has anyone here experienced to have their visa and work permit approved already but cant proceed because of other documents?

What happened I was contacted by the GM of this certain hotel for a job, and he referred me to the company's consultant to process my documents. Everything has been approved already. Now my agency here in the Philippines just needs to speak with my employer or my consultant. But the thing is, the consultant keeps on inisisting that his work is done and he won't be giving me any other documents and he wont speak with my agency. I tried to raise the concern to the GM who hired me but unfortunately, he already had his last day at work due to personal reasons. I tried to message him on whatsapp, email him and even his personal number but I cant connect with him anymore.

Can anyone help me out on this one? Everything is already set except for my documents to leave the Philippines and I need some documents from my employer in order for the agency to start processing my documents.

Sadly, it sounds like you have been scammed. How much money did you pay?

Only 500Cad for the professional fees of the consultant. I checked with CIC the license number and the name of the consultant and its legit. Also I checked their credentials before proceeding with payments. Its just that the GM has personal issues right now and has to be with his family. But sadly he cut me off already and hasnt been responding anymore.

And the consultant seems to be a racist and doesnt want to help me out and he has been accusing me of not realy wanting the job from the very beginning.

Contact the hotel where you will be working and talk to the new GM and confirm not a scam. What hotel and where?

So call and talk to the GM. What was the job because I find it hard to believe that you haven’t been scammed. Hotels don’t give LMIAs. Post your approved LMIA and job offer. Was accommodations, travel and food provided?

So call the hotel and speak to the GM. Ask them when to report to work. Where are you living in Brockville? There are scams for everything. Ask for the LMIA as you will need it.

You're full of it. There's no work permit issued until you land in Canada.
