Medical exam before biometric?

So, I applied to sponsor my spouse for PR under family class outland application.

I haven't received any email of acknowledgement (Aor) as of now. But today morning I received a request for medical. Is it normal? Can IRCC request for medical before biometric or AOR?

Yes it's possible. Might be a technical glitch on their end. Better to call IRCC and in the meantime, you can also raise a webform!

Just wait for a few days or better a week or two before getting exercised. And check your spam folder.
