I think its best to change passport address to your husband address back home. If your in law’s agree to your marriage and parents doesn’t?
My PCC went to my parents address when they saw its written married there they made whole issue and told police officer that they can cancel it because they can’t provide the marriage certificate that is a requirement if you got married in canada and wrote down married in application

Im sorry to hear about that. Can i be there in person at the time of verification to show the proofs of marraige and send my parents away for that day or my parents are needed for the verification?

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, neither of our parents know about it.

Yes i think you can do this, just provide your Indian contact number on the application when you will be there they will give you a call before they come. So you can send your parents away if you can. But you would require two witnesses from your neighbourhood with their ID’s signature. But you can provide marriage certificate to police officers before yours neighbours come. And they can sign/thumb as witnesses after.

Thanks a lot for the response. I read somewhere that parents or siblings are needed for police verification. I was worried a little. As of now this is the only option i can think of. Unfortunately im on implied status and it might take upto 28 months to get sowp. Im stuck here now and cant go to india for verification. Thinking to apply as single in my PCC. I mentioned as married but spouse not accompanying in PR application. Please suggest.

Ok exactly same situation with me, but did the officer yet request you for PCC or not yet? But any chance if your parents can get a PCC from local police station where they don’t need to write down single/ married and you can provide that one for now. Or any old PCC when you were single and got it done.

No there was no request for the PCC yet. Can my parents get my PCC? I did not know there is such option. I will look into it. Thanks a ton for letting me know. I do not have any old PCC though.
