Hello Friends, I have question on my application... can someone who had a similar experience in past, pls share your thoughts on this

My Timeline
  • Jan 13 – Received Acknowledgment of Receipt (AoR), a biometric request, and a request for additional documents.
  • Jan 23 – Completed biometrics and submitted the requested additional documents.
  • Feb 07 – Medicals passed (I had previously completed my medical exam for my work permit two years ago). Also received the pre-arrival letter.
  • Feb 07 – The status for additional documents changed to "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided."
  • Feb 09 – Noticed a ghost update in the portal, and the "Medical Passed" entry disappeared from the "Review of medical results" section.

Question:
I recently noticed a ghost update in my application, and my "Medical Passed" status disappeared from the review section. Is this normal? What could this mean for my application progress?

Hi,

Yes, it's normal, I don't know why exactly this happens, but sometimes you receive this update with the date wrong. I think it's because they start processing your medical file. In a few days (usually 1 to 6) you'll get the update again!

**EDIT**
Nevermind, I just noticed the button View submitted application or upload documents right above the Applicant Information on my GC account.
It has the option for the documents they are requesting, so I'll just send it there.
---

Hey eveyrone, I received a letter requesting extra documents, but I'm not sure which field to select on the webform.
I applied through the PR Portal so I can't submit it on my GC Key account, even though my application is linked. It says on the letter that I need to send via the webform.

Thing is, when selecting the Type of application/enquiry, I'm not sure which one to use.
If I select Permanent Residence (applied online), the next option is only for Express Entry, which it is not the program we apply.
So I'm thinking of sending under Replacement documents, Amendements to documents and Verification of status documents.

For those of you who had to submit extra documents, which one did you choose?
Thanks

I was in the same situation and on January 22 submitted the document they requested through the WebForm selecting Express Entry option.
Then I received a generic confirmation email saying that
If your enquiry was solely to provide documents, please note this is the only response you will receive.

Since then, I haven't had any updates, in my GC account it still says:
We need additional documents to process your application. We will send you a letter or email with details.
This is a bit suspicious because according to what people are saying here the next step to expect is to see the following status: "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided"
I guess it's a matter of time and usually, it takes about a month to review the requested document.
But I would be happy to hear others' experiences.

It will take at least a month to get an update regarding your uploaded document. Check my signature..

Quebec Skilled Workers Program - PEQ Diplômée

November 18: Date of submission
January 16: AOR and invitation letter for biometrics
January 21: I canceled the representative and linked my application
January 30: Biometrics completed.

I have not received any updates since then. The screen shows that the biometric expiry date is January 30, 2035, and the status reads: 'We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."
I have never done a medical exam for my student visa or PGWP. Is this processing time normal? Thank you.

The processing time for PR for Quebec is 9 months as per the IRCC although most applications have been processed around 6 months on average. You will only receive updates when they need something from you or when your application passes certain stages in the process. After AOR it takes around 1 month for the next update which is normally medical examination request. Times could be longer or shorter as everyone's file is different so you just have to be patient while your application is processed. If they need something they will contact you.
