Now that I think about it, I got my P1 on 7th January, exactly 4 months from my AOR. Maybe that does not mean anything but I thought it was worth mentioning LOL.

Looking back at people who got their eCOPR 4 days later, their AOR is wayyy longer than mine. So I guess you are right that it does not matter the timeline from P2 to eCOPR, but the overall length of time it takes you to get the eCOPR.

Cheers.
yeah I know everyone here is mentioning only their P1,P2 and ECOPR Date but no AOR date, this makes people who are either new to this forum or who have been waiting for their ECOPR from 1 month or 2 months from their p2 date feel like IRCC is not doing their job properly but it is clearly mentioned on the Canadian Immigration website that the processing time starts from the AOR date and can take 6 to 8 months for EE and close to 2 years for Non EE.

IRCC wants to close the EE profiles under 6 to 8 months from AOR and for Non EE this can take from 1 year to 2 years, these people probably have older AOR that's why they received Ecopr very fast after their P2. At the end your P1, P2 date doesn't matter only AOR date matters.
check Nov 2024 AOR. Someone with a similar timeline as me got his ECOPR two weeks ago.
There’s no pattern. It’s just luck I guess.

Agreed I think it’s based on AOR. but there are still some with later AOR than me in the same stream that have gotten theirs already. So it just depends I guess. I’m on my 6th month from AOR for EE CEC. Praying I don’t have to wait 8 months since online the processing time still says 5 months. Really praying next week is my week. I need a miracle.

I am not sure about all the acronyms being used here but here is our situation/timeline.
My spouse applied for PR from Country X in Asia in mid June, 2023.
Country X visa office totally screwed up the application which should have been approved in about late June, 2024.
As soon as we received the refusal letter, we appeal it the same day via IAD (Immigration Appeal Division) and thank God for IAD.
We had such a strong case that the Minister's Counsel agreed with us after only 25 min in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Conference which was initially scheduled for 90 min.
Not only did this caused us unnecessary stress and frustration, we wasted a lot of time dealing with this plus it directly and indirectly cost us $.
Direct costs included extra visitor record ($100) and medical exam (about $350). My spouse arrived in Canada on visitor visa and stayed in Canada while going through the PR application process.

P1 - first email asking basic info Feb 12. Replied within a couple of hours.
P2 - second email asking current mailing address and photo Feb 13. Replied within a couple of hours.

Now waiting for eCOPR.

Questions:
1) From what I have read here, eCOPR could roughly take 3 weeks to 3 months. Has anybody received P2 1 day after P1? I am hoping this is a good sign and that we will get eCOPR sooner rather than later.

2) In my spouse's status tracker, we noticed on Jan 27 that it showed COPR details with a document number TXXXXXXXXX and an expiry date of Jan 20, 2026. It states "When you’re approved for permanent residence in Canada, you'll get a Confirmation of Permanent Residence document. Below are details about this document."

So since we have a COPR document number, may I assume the PR was finally approved and COPR was issued Jan 20, 2025 (since expiry is Jan 20, 2026)?
Is the COPR document number from Status Tracker the same as the eCOPR number?

Has anyone seen COPR details in their status tracker prior to receiving P1 and P2 emails?

My MP is aware of our situation and has made inquiry with IRCC. Not sure what if any help the MP office managed to do for us.

My spouse wants to renew her US visitor visa and has to do it by mid April, 2025 (due to recent change in renewal deadline).
It is impossible for her to renew it until she becomes PR in Canada.
If we don't get the eCOPR by early April, maybe we will just tell USA visa office that she has been approved for PR and give them her Status Tracker COPR document number?

3) Country X visa office made some incredible obvious mistakes. The entire PR application process for us was very inefficient. Somebody very high up at IRCC needs to fix this so others don't have to go through what we went through. If IRCC did things properly, I am sure PR applications can be processed a lot quicker. Sending in a complaint online likely will go nowhere. Any suggestions how I can bring my concerns and feedback to IRCC so that something will actually be done?

4) I see some people post which office processed or sent their eCOPR. Would one know before eCOPR is received or is it only shown on the eCOPR?

1. it is possible to receive ECOPR 1 day after getting p2 but that is extremely rare and most of this depends on your AOR date, the close you are to 6,7 or 8 months from your AOR date, the faster you will receive ECOPR( this is only for EE applications and for Non EE the timeline is much higher)

2. your COPR expiry date in the tracker is usually close to the date IRCC received your medical, in my case IRCC received my medical on Jul 31, 2024 hence my copr expiry date was Jul 31, 2025 and that is probably the same in your case and this is the same process for everyone and yes everyone receive it before their P1 email.

3. IRCC have millions of applications pending I just read that by the end of Dec 2024, IRCC had 22 Million Visitor applications pending so you can imagine the workload they have and at the end the way Canadian Immigration is going they could care less how you feel about the way they work, right now it's take it or leave it situation in Canadian Immigration.

4. Your ECOPR issuing office will be mentioned on your ECOPR but I think you can check the email and find out from which office you received those details or sometimes it is written at the bottom of the email and if you still don't find it then the only way is to call IRCC and ask them or wait for your Ecopr.

No offense, but you sound entitled. There are people in dire desperate situations who think they might get deported (not me by the way). I know a nurse (caucasian) who married her husband overseas but after about 4 attempts, can't sponsor him to come here. Be grateful you got your PR. The rest will eventually come.

yeah I understand and as I said by the end of day there are people dreaming to become Canadian Permanent Resident one day and eventually Citizen and we have probably 5 to 10 million in Canada only waiting to become Permanent Residents and probably lot more than this outside Canada.

Hi everybody!
Mi PR timeline:

ECoPR - still waiting for 16 Feb 2025

I wrote an email back to the landing service to get access to P2, after two weeks of answering questions about eye color and height, no one answered me. On the same day, I received a redirect to P2. Also in mid-January 2025, I wrote a complaint twice asking to speed up the issuance of ECoPR, which at that time I had already been waiting for 1.5 months. I indicated in the complaint that my work permit expires in March. In early February, I received two responses from two different IRCC sources. The first one said that IRCC is overloaded and that I should wait and not write there anymore, because they are not going to give me any more answers. The second one simply said that they see my application and that we are on the waiting list and cannot help in any way.

At the same time, my friend who works with me at the same job applied for PR a month earlier than me. Then a week before me, he received requests for photos for the PR card.
He uploaded photos on November 26 2024.
He received ECoPR on Feb 7, 2025, and I am still waiting.

Hope I'll get it soon. I'm very nervous. Good luck to all of you guys!

AOR is acknowledgement of receipt of application from IRCC?
Then our AOR would be mid June, 2023. My AOR timeline likely is a little different since I had to go through IAD.
With regard to your (1) reply, I was actually wondering how common it is to get P2 one day after P1 not whether it is possible to get ecopr 1 day after P2.
After taking a second look, yes the expiry date of the second medical exam is the same as copr expiry date in status tracker.
I have absolutely no doubt that ircc has a heavy workload. Wasn't there recent news about job cuts at ircc? That is exactly why ircc needs to be more efficient and effective in their processes and do things properly. The mistakes they made in our case were so dumb yet so simple to fix.
P1 and P2 emails came from IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca and IRCC.DoNotReply-NePasRepondre.IRCC@prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca respectively. Nothing at bottom of P1 and P2 emails either so I guess we will find out the ecopr issuing office when we receive the ecopr.

Is the status tracker copr document number the same as what is on the ecopr?
