Myself having work permit till May'2025 and my 4 year old kid having visitor record till the same.
I have applied for WP extension and got temporary extension till July 2025.
I have also applied for study permit for my 4 year old kid and just got submission confirmation.
Note: Both of us have visa stamped till passport expiry.

Can we travel to India and be back within may 2025 ? Is it advisable for my kid as well ?? Pleasee suggest.

Does your child have a TRV to re-enter? VR is just to stay in Canada.

Yeah My kid's visa is multiple entry visa.
And also can I go and return back in June ?? As I have my WP temporary extension from IRCC, and can my child in enter as well ??

You need to be holding a valid TRV to re-enter.

TRv means passport stamping validity. ? Or visitor permit validity ?? Does my temporary extension applies to her as well ??

TRV = Temporary resident visa = visitor visa.

If it's a multiple entry visa, then no issue.

WP temporary extension and TRV are separate documents. Need the valid multiple entry TRV in order to re-enter Canada.

You’re always assessed at each entry by CBSA. Assume you have looked to see if your child qualifies to live with you in Canada under new rules. What kind of WP is in process? Fairly unusual to travel both during the school year and at the end of a WP if you are working.

You and your kid both need to have valid TRVs. This is not the same thing as extensions to your work permit. Extensions do not allow you to re-enter Canada.

Would add that processing for TRVs can take quite a while so you need to apply asap if you don’t have valid TRVs. The other big issue is whether you qualify to have family join you in Canada going forward under new rules.
