are u applying as single ? then yes u can say single in PCC
if you are mentioning as married - i will suggest put the same in PCC

i can explain your over a phone call if you want - i had the same issue and i can understand the stress - i did a lot of reseach as i didnt want any issues with my pr process so also spoke with a consultant

Ok.

It’s only me in my express entry profile. And I got the ITA
I have not included him in my PR application.
did you mention as married in your PR file or did you apply as single

if you mentioned married - i will suggest - do the same in PCC

if you mentioned as single - then no issues - you mention as single in PCC

its a matter of luck - some times IRCC does check details with the consolate and if there are discrepencies it can raise RED flags

Again it may not check so in that case there should be no issues but in general these days IRCC is very very finiky and rejecting applications for minor issues

good luck

Hi I did it as single and he is non accompanying. From my understanding, they only check criminality as they want to know whether you have criminal convictions or not. I have mentioned married in my profile and will be providing marriage certificate as well.

Ok - good luck

You are right its all about criminality - but thanks to Gov of India - they do have this section - married / single - god knows why ! on the PCC

if he is not even added - mayb you will be fine - i m not sure

what i learned after having a discussion with a paid consultant - sometimes IRCC does check the records with the indian consulate - and if there is a discrepency - it can cause issues - again its a matter of luck - they dont check each and every application.

Point is ur IRCC profile says married
PCC will say single - and this will be the record at the indian consulate - in case IRCC checks

so there is a chance that this causes an issue later - i didnt want to take any chances with my PR so i mentioned as married - but she was added on my PR application as well

The pcc doesn’t say marital status tho. It shows my name and daughter of. If I say married, it will show wife of. It seems like the Govt loves putting a banner on people when introducing.

yes - correct
PCC wont show marital status - but the form you fill for PCC remains at the Indian consulate for records

When IRCC checks - they refer to the records they have here

Again as per the consulatant i spoke and reseach i did its not done for each and every application - so its a matter of luck i would say

issue is PR application status - married
record at Indian consulate - single

you see the point ?
