Hello,
My mom applied for Supervisa 2023. After 1 months done biometric. After 3 months refused said my family income is not enough. Maybe officer did not counted my self employed income & we re applied again & got refused same reason in a month.
I emailed to IRCC & also my MP. From 2024 suddenly 1st time application number again in process. Summer 2024 was asking for biometric but she already given 2023 and valid until 2033.
We were ignored the letter maybe it was mistake.
Today we received email asking for medical reports to do within 30 days!
If anyone here understands my concerns & can help me what should we do now? We should do the medical or just ignore the letter?
Your response will be appreciates.
Thanks

On the T2125 AFTER all your deductions , what was your net income ?

Did you use your gross income PRIOR to deducting your expenses ?

People use deductions to reduce the taxable income , which results in the income they pay taxes on , which is the amount in net income box , then transferred to your T1 return

LICO income = Line 15000 or line 150

Some will then attempt to go back and adjust there income to fit there situation

This can open up one to audits on business expenses and personal income tax

Tread carefully

Your self-employed income shouldn’t change your income on your tax return since it would have already been declared so am very confused. Either you qualified or you didn’t. If nothing has changed on your NOA then this will still be an issue.

Hi,
I don’t know how they look at the calculations but my family income was more than LICO & they still refused. That’s why I emailed them highlighting in my NOA and explained.
After long time now they asking for medical.

What’s your line 15000 ?

And the family composition number ?

That could be the issue when you mention you don’t know how the CRA calculates the LICO

Taxable income minus expenses is what counts not family income.
