Hello,
I am an international student currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Film and Television program at Sheridan College, which is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI). I am expected to graduate in April 2025.
I have been reviewing the recent changes to the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program that took effect in 2024. Under the section on eligibility requirements based on study program, it mentions that there are no field of study requirements for graduates with a bachelors degree from a university. Since my bachelors degree is from a college, I would like to clarify the following:
1. Am I eligible to apply for a PGWP upon graduation, considering my bachelors degree is from Sheridan College (a DLI)?
2. Does the term university in the eligibility criteria also apply to college bachelors degree programs like mine?
3. Do field of study requirements apply to my case as a college bachelors degree graduate, or am I exempt like university graduates?
I would really appreciate anyone's help in clarifying this. Thank you for your time!
