i don't understand the original question
was your application returned?
I am about to submit it, but can not figure out also what to put in imm1344 paragraph 6. Basically in imm5589 checklist I chose Class Of Application "I'm currently living in Canada And applying under Family class" which is outland but in imm1344 paragraph 6 there's no such choice, there is only "Spouse applying Family class"( Spouse means officially married) and Common law living in Canada (which refers, in my opinion, to checklist 5589 inland processing), and there's one more choice which qualifies for outland is "Common law living abroad" but I can not choose this because it is not truth as we are both in living in Canada together....

sorry, i was married so didn't really have an issue with that
i recall another thread that discussed about it here https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/common-law-outside-canada-vs-spouse-inside-canada-family-class.860761/
my advice is just select the third option even though you're not technically "spouse" yet, i hope someone else who went through the same situation can better advise you
