Hi my name is Hardeep from Brampton. I applied online for citizenship on June 13,2023. They asked for background verification in July 25 and after 2 days they sent a citizenship test email. I gave test on august 23 and next day they updated status as completed. On august 31, they updated status that they received fingerprints information and they will review them shortly. Afterwards nothing changed..only citizenship test status show completed other things are still in progress even background verification, language, physical presence..so frustrating
Did you get your oath?

Received an update!!!

AOR - June 2023
SS since July 2023
Language and Physical Presence - July 2024
Mandamus Step 1 - Jan 20
No Decision Letter - Feb 3
BG and Prohibition Complete - Feb 3

Looks like Mandamus worked in my case!
I wonder what could be the possible reason for huge differences in processing timeline of files? Some are extremely fast like within months and some are not even moving after year/s. There should be more transparency in the process.

I think it depends on your nationality. If you’re from ( Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, srilanka) or African countries then they will put your file sperate and work on files which are from European countries first. I know a British person whose application got approved in less than 3 months.

I saw many Indians getting approvals in 3-5 months. Try to be a man from Middle-east and test your patience.
