BC PNP status changed from Applied to In Process

Lots of people. Processing times are officially 7 months but some people have been waiting even longer than that.
Yeah as i have seen mostly are the non express entry profiles in here it takes more time as compared to express entry profiles. Hope they will start giving out nominations this month.

Yes, everyone received this message today. It’s actually funny - they spent two days sending out a new one that was already posted on Friday. I have no idea when we’ll receive the nomination at this rate.

It's been over 6 months awaiting for any response from BC PNP after application submission, and now getting this mail to wait for more
can I leave canada due to work permit expiring, and status lost.
and still wait and be eligible for this nomination. or is it mandatory to be in BC?

I think they will wait for CEC draw and let few of them to voluntary withdraw the application which are already under process, by that way they will get more allocation for 2025 and since application was under process, they don’t want have to return the fees!Yeah did receive it today.

Please note, you must maintain legal immigration status while in Canada, and you must have a valid work permit to work in B.C. A BC PNP nomination by itself does not authorize you to work in B.C. The BC PNP cannot apply for a work permit on your behalf.
If you require a work permit, you must apply to the federal government for the work permit. IRCC and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) are responsible for issuing work permits. For more information about temporary status in Canada, including work permits and study permits, please refer to IRCC’s website.
If nominated, you may be eligible to receive a work permit support letter issued by the BC PNP so you can apply to obtain or renew a work permit from the federal government to start or continue working in B.C. for your employer. Work permit support letters allow you to apply for a work permit from the federal government without the need for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

I don't think there will be many such people. If someone has 530+ points, why would they apply for BC PNP?
With more frequent CEC draw i think points might come down.. anyone above 130 in BC PNP might have score above 500+ ! I might be wrong.
Also some of them work permit are expiring and will be out of status!! Not sure what will happen to their profile!
otherwise why they are not sending nominations now when they have quota (Ofcourse 50% less) for people who already got ITA and waiting for 4+ months!

from that explanation, my take away;
-you may leave Canada while waiting, and if you receive nomination, you may ask BC PNP support letter to apply work permit
However, I still don't understand the impact when your WP expire, and technically you cannot continue your work, so there will be material change which may impact your BC PNP ongoing application, as a rule, you need notify BC PNP. This is the case which I don't see BC PNP address that.
They haven't sent the nomination yet because they're still determining the priority order. Health care is, of course, the top priority, but they're still figuring out which sectors should come second, third, fourth, and so on.
