Just warning you that processing has become incredibly long and you only very recently applied. Hopefully there will be reforms of the asylum system but many will be waiting over 2 years for a hearing at this point.

I hope there are reforms and the processing gets better. Just don't want them to reject claim based on number of applicants and not to go through the claim in detail.

I don't mind waiting as long as I have work permit and continue on the job. As nothing can be done from my side.

Impossible to say what the reforms will be. If you have genuine grounds and proof and have not been living in Canada before applying for asylum you shouldn’t be affected by any reforms. The fact that you are already asking about H&C and the ability to work on H&C when you only claimed asylum recently certainly raises concerns about your claim.

The reason for asking about H&C was only for the knowledge.

Do you think a person who is living in Canada claims for refugee due to sudden change in condition in his/her country and it causes the fear of persecution or torture, then it will be difficult to get positive decision?

Based on statements made by Marc Miller yes. Obviously there are some exceptions. For example if you are Sudanese and a civil war started since you left then you’d have strong grounds for asylum. If you filed for asylum after you have exhausted other permit or PR options then most will likely have a tough time getting asylum and may be processed quickly. Can predict what will happen but based on comments there are clear concerns about people claiming asylum to extend their time in Canada.

Understood. Actually the reason to file for asylum is kind of correlates with political situation change in my home country as well as personal risk of fear to go back given the threats I am getting. Hope they consider the genuine cases for asylum when some people might be misusing the system like you said.
