parents transiting via Germany

Hi everyone

I am planning a visit of my parents to Canada. they are the Indian passport holders having valid Canada visitor visa. do they need a transit visa for a 9-hour layover in Germany. if anyone or their relatives have gone through a similar situation? They are not comfortable sitting for a long time on a direct flight.

This is really Germany issue and may depend on what time of day the layover is. Many airports don’t allow you to stay in the airport overnight.

As long as you don't exit the international transit zone, it should be fine. Just confirm with the airlines to be sure.
