Hey guys any CEC inland applicant waiting for background check to complete AOR April 2024? . My background is showing in progress from August 14 , after that no update, contacted MP couple of times but no use

Anyone else who had this update -> "Background verification status has been updated to In progress"

Did anyone got it cleared as "updated to completed"? If yes, please share your timeline. Thank you

In last Nov, Tracker told me: Background verification status has been updated to In progress. Now, 13 months passed, but nothing changed. GCMS note said security screening in progress by CBSA.

By talking to people around me, I learned that this update only appears on the tracker when the application is undergoing a comprehensive security screening, which can take months, or even a year or more, to be approved.

Could someone share their experiences on this? Is this really the case? Have you got same update on the Tracker before?
