Silence ever since. I’ve called Ircc to ask about the application they said application was sent to my home country for processing

Absolutely normal. Biggest gap in communication/movement is between medical/bio and hearing anything more. 4-10 months pretty much normal in that time period (granted 10 months after medical would be long but not extraordinarily so).

I’m submitting everything in person in Jamaica tomorrow. How long does it usually takes to receive passport back and copr?

I think a week. Do the tracking and they will send updates on passport . My friend husband send his in and in 6 days he receive it back

Did you apply it by yourself? Could you please share steps or any helpful links to apply for child sponsorship?

My daughter is born in India, and we are planning to travel to Canada soon.
Also, Is it possible to apply for visitor visa as well when the application is in progress? So that in case if PR takes time then they can travel using visitor visa.

Hello
, I think after you get your AOR and biometrics are done, they will give you a pre-arrive letter. Attach it and apply for a visitor visa.

I see most of the applications returned due to missing parents signature. I am going to submit my application, but before that just wanted to check. Do we need to sign it by hand after taking printout of forms OR digitally (just type the name and date) wherever required?

If you and your spouse are PRs you must be in Canada to sponsor your child,

Yes, I received email as my application is received with details like application number. Now I am also able to track my application using tracker - https://ircc-tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en
