My wife is on study permit and i am on sowp and doing painter job i have 6 months experience now. My wife study will be completed in may 2025 and when we apply for pgwp and sowp extension is the new rules apply on us ?

Yes, the new rule will apply on you, as the new rule already started on January 21. You'll have to apply for extension based on your wife's permit.

Spouse is eligible for PGWP (if she meets requirements) so that is her option. Your permit extension will be based on whether her job meets the new requirements.
