Can someone get a student visa while being in Canada as a tourist?

I'm currently in Canada on a tourist visa. I found a school that I would like to attend. They have an international student program (according to their website.)

Does anyone know if I can adjust my status, or in other words, can I get a student visa while I'm still in Canada as a tourist? (Provided that the school accepts me.)

Are you a minor accompanying your parents or an adult?

Assuming you are an adult, not possible. Application needs to be submitted outside of Canada.

If for secondary and parents not working in Canada, you apply for study permit outland and pay international tuition plus living expenses.

Well if you came on a tourist visa and then started looking at schools to attend while here on a tourist visa , you weren’t really a genuine tourist

People typically can’t just leave there whole lives behind at the drop of a hat when they come on a tourist visa and look at schools to attend
