LMIA expired

Hi there
My Lmia expired in dec before the application was submitted to Ircc based on my Indian nationality.

But now I have acquired UK citizenship, and my immigration lawyers have updated the ircc about the nationality change .

I have given my biometrics in london on the same application but with the UK passport details.

My question is can I apply at the POE work permit , but wirh expired Lmia ? How will this work ?

I am all ready to go ? But don't know how long i have to wait for Ircx to reply ?

First, you need a new LMIA.

  • The LMIA expiry date is the date by which the TFW must have applied for a work permit. If the TFW hasn't applied by that date, the LMIA is no longer valid and employers must apply for a new LMIA to hire a TFW

I have applied for Work permit before the expiry date . And after that I acquired the British nationality, I have updated the Ircc , they have now instructed to do the biometric appointment, which i did in London .

What will happen next ? My question is
Can I apply for Poe work permit?
Or should I wait for the Ircc to contact me ?

So are you in the UK and have approved ETA to return to Canada?
