How long does immigration division take to set your admissibility hearing date and give you notice to appear?

Did you receive this notice by mail to the address that you gave to the CBSA?or other ways like email?
my husband is currently working while waiting for the hearing, and since I am student I can apply to extend his work permit but I am concerned that this pending hearing affect his extension approval while he is eligible for extension.
Besides, his passport is also seized which means he has to be in Canada to resolve this issue so they should normaly agree his work permit extension.

Extend which work permit? Open work permit that he received as dependent or Work permit (That does not confer temporary status) after claiming refugee?
we are not waiting for refugee hearing. we are waiting for admissibility hearing due to a misrepresentation in the initial work permit application as my dependent.

If you dont mind me asking, at what time he applied for the refugee? after receiving admissibility hearing or prior to that?

To answer your question, yes this will affect decision on any subsequent application especially when applying the same program. Notice usually are sent on mail
While waiting for admissibility hearing people are considered admissible until the final result. So, this should not affect their status until the result is released.

But you mention you are intending to apply for extension of his work permit.. assuming he has valid work permit.
yes his wok permit is valid until we get the hearing result.

this is a fairly uncommon scenario. You are also posting under refugee and asylum thread so most other cases will involve asylum cases.
