My job title aligns more with a TEER 4 position, but my duties and responsibilities correspond to those of TEER 2/3. Does this make me eligible for the Express Entry pool?

The title doesn't matter that much as long as your job duties matches with the lead statement and 70% of the desired NOC code job description.

Hi,

Thank you for the response.

While the duties match, I’m unsure if my job title qualifies under NOC 0, 1, 2, or 3, as my immigration consultant mentioned it might not.

Can I still create an Express Entry profile with the following credentials?

  • 3–4 years of foreign experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (from my home country) and a postgraduate diploma (Canada)
  • CELPIP: 10, TEF: 7
  • Canadian experience: 0
Thank you for your guidance.

As long as the duties match, title shouldn't be of a much concern. Not sure why your consultant is being adamant about your title. However, it's your call!

Yeah, maybe because my title is Light Duty Operator, but the duties I perform are at a supervisory level. The consultant mentioned they would probably focus on the title.

Even with a CRS score of 513 and no Canadian experience, it might still not work, right?

this is the job duties:
  1. Trains new employees in machinery operation, packaging procedures, and safety protocols, ensuring they are well-prepared to perform their tasks effectively.
  2. Coordinates team activities to ensure tasks are completed in compliance with plant manager instructions and established procedures.
  3. Organizes packaging tasks with team members to meet production goals within set timelines.
  4. Resolves operational issues by addressing challenges during packaging and ensuring the timely availability of necessary materials.
  5. Updates records accurately by entering completed packaging numbers and tracking daily progress at the workstation for certain tasks.
  6. Takes prints of labels and ensures they are appropriately affixed to packaged items to maintain proper identification.
  7. Monitors quality standards by regularly reviewing processes and providing guidance to maintain operational efficiency.
  8. Promotes a clean and safe work environment by enforcing compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
  9. Ensures workstation cleanliness by overseeing cleanup activities at the end of each shift.
  10. Performs packaging, stamping, stapling, and works on production lines, operating various machinery to support and maintain an efficient workflow.

Wrong. Job title doesn’t matter as Officer focus on your job duties mainly and access your eligibility accordingly to that . Job title doesn’t matter. You should select TEER code which aligns to your job duties not job title.
