Yeah that would be a valid way to maintain statusThank you for the motivation Aizique, Much appreciated.
My spouse is in canada, his WP is going to expire on Jan 25 same as me. I am thinking to apply his visitor record.
Praying for all of us especially October ones...Yeah that would be a valid way to maintain status
let today be the day for us !it’s been a long long wait
That sounds good. I was just wondering why not extend the WP. VS means he can't work until you file for him but with WP extension, he will be on implied status pending when a decision is made and will continue to work. That about what's best.Thank you for the motivation Aizique, Much appreciated.

Go for SOWP instead of Visitor Record. Once you get your eCoPR, you can withdraw the SOWP application and they are going to refund it back even before they start processing on it!Thank you for the motivation Aizique, Much appreciated.

I meant you need to withdraw his SOWP application after you receive his eCoPR. Not before that! At what stage is his PR application? Is he already done with P1 and P2?Thank you so much Aizique and Hyper. Valid points.
Just want to clarify, do I need withdraw his SOWP after applying his PR application?
I mean we are on applied status as well but we still need BOWP to maintain the status. and for spousein case I received ecopr before 25 jan and I applied his PR application. I still need to apply his SOWP or Visitor to maintain his status right?
Confused why I need to withdraw his SOWP after apply.
He may still need his SOWP afterall to maintain status. Once he receives AOR, then you may withdraw. But what I usually advise people in such situation is not to withdraw. They should just continue with the WP. But if it expires after AOR then you go for BOWP. If he gets approved before the WP expires, IRCC automatically cancels the WP. But @Hyper1013 is right in the event you want to save the application money. But as my friend would say, an immigration consultant will charge more than that so there is not need to bother about the little sum. No need to withdraw.Thank you so much Aizique and Hyper. Thank you Aizique .. Yes I do have tracker copr no is generated and the expire is August 2025... but does that mean I have to wait till that time just to get ecopr... I have flight booked for 8th Feb and I am worried now...rooting for you.
Waiting is such a tough period especially wend you wait in the dark.
One thing I will advice, go to your tracker and check if eCOPR document number has been generated for you as well as expiry date. This could give you an idea of your wait time because I feel you will get your eCOPR before it expires. I don't think IRCC would want to allow it expire in their custody. Here is the link https://ircc-tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/register.
If you don't have an account, register and track. @varun_21 and @Rose2023 and @BCPNPdude
