Hi All,

I have recently graduated and am about to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). My wife, who is currently employed in a Tier 1 job, holds a Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP). Both our permits (study and work) are valid until November 25, 2024. Given the recent changes to the SOWP (Jan 14th), I am concerned about my status as a student.
-> Now that I have finished my studies, will I no longer be considered a student when applying for the PGWP?
-> According to the latest updates, do I need to secure a job in Tier 0 or Tier 1 to extend my wife’s visa?
-> Furthermore, if I apply for the PGWP before January 21st, will the changes affect my wife’s status?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated, as we are quite unsure about our next steps.

Thanks.

Are you currently employed? If so what tier level? Do you have 3 pay stubs?
