Agree. Probably 90% (or more) was to sponsor a family member.
Sponsoring family is wrong? That is not abusing the program. IRCC asks for family history forms and it even asks for the disclosure of the origination of the employer/employee relationship. If people say family and get approved, how is that misusing the program?

Candidates/applicants have to be viable, long-term on the broader job market after any job the hold now or in the future terminates. That's what gives economic migration programs legs. That's why its important to have an education tied to the qualifying criteria.

Because family members cannot get PR through EE so family members sponsors sisters/cousins/parents who don’t have the education or language skills to get PR through EE or PNP. So yes, it is abuse of system and IRCC has recognized it through operational manuals now that state family members will undergo higher scrutiny. Education was one year post secondary not even a diploma or degree.

Not everyone is so, I have bachelor's degree with IELTS 7.5 score and relative work experience in my home country as a kindergarten teacher and yes my brother-in-law is my employer and who else would be waiting for 3 years (they could wait also because during these time they had his mother then his sister as a visitor and each of them help them for several months during their stay)

Congrats on your approval. You are employed by BIL and couldn’t immigrate through economic pathways even as a teacher. So MIL and sister stayed in Canada as visitors and worked illegally until your application was approved. So you are a perfect case for my argument.

They didn't work illegally because they didn't receive any wage they just help their family and a mother in the first day of her child birth it's nothing illegal as they sent a documents to IRCC as they want to visit Canada and help their family. HCCP is a part of economic pathway before the new pilot the employers should gain LMIA and you could come to Canada as a caregiver the only defence of this pilot is not needed LMIA and you can gain PR after completing the work experience

Every immigration program has people who rightfully benefit from it, but also people who abuse it. Unfortunately for some, this program was likely abused extensively which led IRCC to put it on hold.

That's right but saying that everyone in this pathway are illiterate and having no right to be in Canada by using what the IRCC planned to cover the worker's need of society, is unfair and rude.

No they did work illegally. They worked a job where they should have been receiving a wage…which you now have. My issue is that the program has been used predominantly by family members who cannot immigrate through economic pathways and your scenario illustrates that. You were fortunate but with the program on hold, IRCC may revisit allowing family members to be their child caregivers and support workers.

According to the Government, that’s illegal work
