Do you read these posts and what you're replying to or just have a macro?

Father has a valid PR card. Ontario Ministry responsible has regs published. Universities and colleges must follow them. A child who is a dependant of a PR in Canada has access to education at domestic rate. Period. There is no need to be knowledgeable about immigration.

Only a moron would think that a non-PR would have to present their own PR card (which they quite obviously cannot have); it is self-evident that in this instance what would be needed is evidence that the parent is a PR - which is covered in the text above. University finance departments are not staffed by morons; can't speak for others.
Thanks Guys for your wonderful insights .Looks like a dependent child under 22 years age need a valid PR(not expired) card to be billed at Domestic Rate in College and Universities , if this is the case , Dependent has to wait 2 years to fulfill residency obligations and by that time he /she will be considered a International Student .Sounds Weird t that with the Expired card you can enter but cannot avail the facilities .Any thoughts are Welcome.

WIthout details, I doubt anyone can say much. I'd suggest you speak to a lawyer or the school again, using the texts above.

Note, this isn't family class sponsorship, suggest you post in a relevant forum.

What province may also have an impact. Schools are not immigration experts so proof required can vary and schools may not be familiar with provincial policies.

Yes. It does matter what province especially, and it may be useful to look up the provincial regulations.

I'd also note: if you ask schools the most general question, they'll likely give you the canned answer that someone has written somewhere (for easy reference, not the complicated answers) eg 'show us your PR card.'

Sometimes one does have to push back, ask again, ask for the written rules, speak to a manager, look things up and show them, etc. The admissions office will not know everythign the finance office does, and the front-line 'call centre' people in any department probably don't know the details. And you probably can't get these detailed answers dealt with as a hypothetical - it has to be for a specific case (eg a student who's already been admitted).

Other thing: @NomadPR, you haven't updated, told us whether the kids are now in Canada, age, or the school, or anything. We just can't know the answers.

Even if you do provide that stuff - you're probably going to have to deal with it yourself. Your story above is ... messy. People here can give hints and info about what they know, but it's still on you to deal with it.
