Any rough average idea when can the passport be expected back?

Give it a month atleast, that’s the normal time nowadays.

There are only 4 visa officers stationed in India for now as most of them were expelled by the Indian govt and hence massive delays - The Embassy priority is servicing Canadian citizens in India , processing and issuing visas is low priority, especially after Trudeau messed up the Immigration sector in Canada

Is there a valid source that says only 4 officers working?

That's only in India though and most applications are processed in Canada now. I think the main delay will be for visa stamping.

True, its been 220 days and no approval yet. GCMS notes shows ready for approval since past 100 days.

Don’t want to sound negative but that’s true. I feel they should process older applications but do not have manpower. Mine shows my file is in New Delhi( ready for approval since oct 31st

I reached mp last week . All we got in reply is that it is ready for finalization but when my mp did query like this few months back at that time we did nt get this update on tracker. So i am really confused
