Hello all,

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So I currently live in Canada under a Work Holiday Visa and my girlfriend is on a visitor visa. I have started a job in December and we plan to apply to PR together through FSW Stream so that she can also works In Canada.
Question 1: Can I list her as second applicant even if she is in Canada as a visitor? Is she allowed to ask for an extension of her visitor visa?
Question 2: Can she apply also in IEC for a work holiday visa while applying in the express entry as a second applicant?

I am really worried not to make any mistake that could jeopardize our application.

Thank you for your time,

:)

1. If you are common-law then she can be included as a dependant. What do you mean by “apply for PR”? Have you been invited (date/score)? If not, you are just submitting your profile. What is your score and NOC? She needs to extend stay as visitor before 6 months are up.
2. IEC and EE are two separate things. IEC is a working visa so if she is eligible she can apply.

1. We are commom-law yes. Sorry I used the wrong wording we want to enter the pool and wait for an ITA. Score should be around 530 with the possibility to enter french draws. My TEER is 2 but it is not an LMIA job so I cannot use it to gain point from what I read right?
She is going to apply to extend her visitor visa we just wanted to make sure this would not nullify any other application as EE or IEC first. Can you confirm this?

2. Ok great news thank you very much!

If you have 530 without Canadian work experience and CLB7 in French then you should get invited in a French draw with your ECA, IELT and TEF papers. You don’t get 50 points. She is a visitor so not sure what she is nullifying. IEC and EE are separate from visitor record.
