Want to travel to India on a work permit applied status. Need to take a decision really quick. Please help

Hello guys

My study permit is going to end on Dec 31 2024. I applied my work permit in September 2024. Its been 3 months i have been applied and my application is still in process and no result came yet. They gave me waiting time till march 2025.

Here is the situation, I want to travel to India for an emergency situation in the Starting of the January month.

In this time, Is it good idea to travel to India without getting my work permit and wait there my work permit to come. Can you tell me how much approximate time it will going to complete my whole process till stamping of my passport and return back to Canada.

Please reply guys i have take decision really quick.

You need a valid TRV to re-enter. A WP just lets you work. So you would apply for TRV outside Canada and processing is about 4 months not including passport stamping.

Hello,

I graduated in December 2024, my study permit and student visa is expiring in march and I want to travel to UK in January 20 and spend 2 weeks to return back to Canada. Is it safe to travel. I have applied for my PGWP in December, I have temporary PGWP.

Yess.. As long as your study permit is valid you can go and come back.. After completing your study you can do that on your study permit till 90 days after getting your completion letter from your college.. As you got on passport as you stated it lasts in March.
