Hello All,

My 9-year-old child has his citizenship oath ceremony scheduled for next week. However, we have not yet received any email with instructions on how to download his e-certificate, including the steps involved.

For adults, we received instructions to create an account on the portal before the ceremony, which allowed us to download our e-certificates.

Please note that we all filed as separate applicants, not as a family application.

My question is: How will my child receive his citizenship certificate?

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards

Kid application tracker is showing oath scheduled?
Is separate email used for kids application?

IRCC says to call them if your don't receive email a week before the ceremony. So do call them on Monday.

For certificate you can use any of your account to download the certificate for the kid too after providing the details.

Hello

I think you have misunderstood my question.

We have received the email with instructions for the oath ceremony for the kid with zoom link and everything

The email that I am talking about not receiving is the one we get as adults fron the registrar of canadian citizenship where they give us instructions on how to download the e-certificate example create an account on ircc portal etc.. We get this email just before our oath ceremony email.

I am talking about not receiving the email from registrar of canadian citizenship for my kid for steps on how to download e-certificate.

Note: I applied for my kid citizenship as a separate applicant (Minor 5(1))

During the oath you can talk to the oath officer and they will send the email again. As I said in my previous reply you don't need separate accounts for downloading the e-certificate. You can use your account to download the e-certificate of your kid too. So not receiving the email is not a big deal.

Also if you still want a separate account for your kid, you can create it without the email too. Here are the steps - https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/how-do-i-download-citizenship-e-certificate.817612/post-10567136

As I mentioned above earlier
I have filed separately for my kid.
I have used a separate email account.
Me and my wife also used separate email accounts.
We got an email from from the registrar office before our we got our oath ceremony invitation to register on the ircc portal using our respective emails and an invitaion code they sent where I can login after the ceremony to download my certificate.

I was expecting a similar email for my child also which I did not get.

The only email i received for my kid is the oath ceremony invitation with the zoom link and other instructions.

Do they not send the ecertificate download instructions email for minors?

Precisely, I did not get the e certificate download instructions for my kid.
Is that a problem as he attends the oath ceremony? Can I ask them to send the e certificate download instructions during the oath cereminy

No problem attending the ceremony. You can talk to the oath officer.
